High current plants and supplies for
electrolysis and arc furnaces:

We supply large DC
converters for steel melting furnaces (EAF). For the chemical industry and
different electrolysis plants we design water cooled rectifiers and
transformers. The plants will be laid out according to the local requirements.
We can supply rectifiers up to 1200 V and 40 kA in B6 connection or approx. 300
V and 60 kA with interphase transformers.. According to the requirements we can
supply rectfiers with thyristors or diodes. |

offer thyristor controlled reactors (TCR) for reactive power control with
digital controls in order to optimize the reactive power flow into the feeder.
The according AEG products are called Semivar and Megasemi. For TCR equipment in
operation we can supply new digital controls, consisting of an electronic card
within the high voltage power rack and a control cubicle. The connection between
the power rack of the TCR and the control cubicle is effected by light
transmissions which fully insulate the control |

Converters |
| We can supply converters for
50 cycle grids, which can create a new grid of 60 cycles, 3-phase or 16 2/3
cycle simple phase. The device with two synchronous machines shown below has an
output of 100 kVA. It is used by a German machine supplier |

products to suit the local conditions of 60 cycle grids. The
frequency tolerance is +/- 1%. |

generator is assembled with a gear and is delivered as one unit. This
low-priced and well-engineered 4-pole generators can be run at 1500 rpm at

The flanged-on epicyclical gear only has minor loss and a long running
life. Alternator and gear are a complete mounting unit for ready erection.
This system is called E-Pack.
